摘要: The surface properties of novel stationary phases in packed and open tubular columns for capillary electrochromatography (CEC) were examined by measuring the streaming potential a home made apparatus. surfaces investigated include materials such as porous styrenic sorbents octadecyl-silica well fused-silica tubing, both raw modified forms. Functionalization was carried out, instance, reductive amination or organosilane grafting on to inner wall. dependence pH with aqueous solutions range from 2.5 9.0. Electrokinetic 50 μm I.D. capillaries have been determined electrosmotic flow measurements. Both methods gave similar profiles ζ-potential isoelectric points. This confirms viability our approach evaluate specific charged groups packing which is one important factors influencing (EOF) velocity protein adsorption during chromatographic run. In addition bare silica capillaries, monolithic different functionalities, extensively used laboratory CEC separation peptides proteins, employed comparison two methods. Plots zeta function percent ACN show complex behavior, indicating that cannot be predicted simply binary mixture solvent properties. It demonstrated evaluation method nondestructive, relatively fast, without untoward effects introduced Joule heating yet another means characterization under conditions CEC.
