摘要: The electrokinetic behavior of granular quartz sand in aqueous solution is investigated by both microelectrophoresis and streaming potential methods. ζ potentials surfaces composed obtained via methods are compared to electrophoretic mobility values colloid-sized fragments. generated these alternate close agreement over a wide pH range electrolyte concentrations spanning several orders magnitude. Streaming measurements performed on chemically heterogeneous mixtures physically homogeneous shown obey simple mixing model based the surface area-weighted average associated with individual end members. These experimental results support applicability method as means determining porous media surfaces.
