摘要: The fire retardant action of red phosphorus in nylon 6 was im proved by co-addition ferric/ferrous oxides. It found that the activity Fe oxides depends on product grade. Polymer formulations, non-ignitable air were obtained Fe3O4/Fe2O3 = 3:2 with phosphorus. Scanning electron microscopy showed ferric oxide contributes beneficially to retardancy, probably because it modifies morphology char. Red coated Fe3O4 and encapsulated phenol formaldehyde resin provided further improvements retardancy significantly de creased rate evolution phosphine. Mechanistic studies did not support hypothesis reported literature, is due its oxidation oxygen air.
