摘要: Siberian chipmunks, Tamias sibiricus, are one of several popular companion animals found in the pet shops South Korea. At present, however, there have been no studies done Korea examining their origin even though they could be potential carriers zoonotic diseases, and a species concern for efficient conservation management strategies. Sequences mitochondrial cytochrome b gene (1140 bp) were determined to investigate chipmunks sold four Korean through comparison with sequence data from known locality. Nine collected Korea, which resulted nine haplotypes. One (AR) these coincided haplotype previously described. Phylogenetic network analyses using 53 haplotypes including 45 GenBank showed three phylogenetic groups almost concordant locality, designated as northern, central, southern parts described previous study. Of individuals examined shops, eight clustered into northern phylogroup but (cgrb9153) was grouped phylogroup, implying that at least this study did not originate other countries. It is likely most Seoul caught wild Gyeonggi-do Gangwon-do, or maternal descendants captive-bred originating part recommended units should further detail.
