摘要: Background Many studies have shown that up-regulation of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) participates in adverse fibrous remodeling. Although this has become an accepted fact the cardiovascular field, relationship between ACE and cutaneous remodeling, such as keloid or hypertrophic scars, remains unknown. Objective We sought to investigate normal skin, wounded pathologic scars. Methods Ten samples undergoing a wound-healing process, 14 scar tissue, 15 skin were used study. Cutaneous tissue activities measured with high-pressure liquid chromatography. Localization was assessed by immunohistochemistry. Results The activity significantly higher than skin. Immunohistochemical demonstrated myofibroblasts stained anti-ACE antibody. Limitations study is small. Conclusions These results suggest up-regulated may participate formation same system.
