摘要: To investigate in vivo roles of a murine hypothalamic homeobox gene, Bsx, we generated and analyzed two mutant alleles, Bsx(DeltaHD) Bsx(lacZ). lacks the homeodomain, Bsx(lacZ) is an insertion lacZ reporter gene. Bsx-lacZ expression was detected hypothalamus pineal gland reiterates Bsx expression. homozygous mice were born at expected Mendelian ratio, but their growth impaired. Offspring from females exhibited low survival rate due to nursing defect. Mammary glands developed normally during pregnancy; however, they involuted quickly after parturition. These results demonstrate that required for postnatal maintenance lactating mammary glands. Thus, mouse likely involved systemic control suppression apoptosis postpartum epithelial cells.
