摘要: The momentum spectrum of muons in the vertical cosmic ray flux at Durham has been measured for range 0.4-10 GeV/c. measurements are based on some 191 000 trajectories. bias introduced by condition that particles should be unaccompanied studied and found to small. compared with those other workers possible causes discrepancies examined. It is concluded relative intensities known an accuracy about 3% over production pions determined under assumption sea-level all come from pions. Representing as N(pπ) = Apπ-γ, γ constant equal 2.65, pπ > 5 Below this falls continuously reaches value 1.93 a pion 1 agrees well given Olbert 1954 Puppi 1956 above 3 GeV/c but significantly lower intensity momenta.
