摘要: The nonmotor symptoms (NMS) of Parkinson's disease (PD) are less well recognised and can be more troublesome to patients carers than classical motor features. NMS frequently missed during routine consultations such under-recognition may have implications on quality care given that many treatable. To determine the proportion not declaring healthcare professional (HCP) as assessed by self completion questionnaire (NMSQuest), a validated, self-completing with 30 items. Multicentre international study. data was collected from PD across all age groups stages attending outpatient clinics in specialist elderly settings. 242 recruited undeclared ranged 31.8% (diplopia) 65.2% (delusions). most nondeclared were delusions, daytime sleepiness, intense vivid dreams, dizziness. In many, appropriate treatments for started only after these following NMSQuest. at hospital consultation related fact often do link or too embarrassed discuss these. Use NMSQuest allows flag which otherwise remain untreated when potential exist.
