摘要: Prostaglandins are involved in mediating several important processes mammalian reproduction, including the initiation of parturition. In present study, we examined expression rat uterus two-rate limiting enzymes prostaglandin production, cyclooxygenase (COX) 1 and 2. Expression COX-2 gene pregnant gave rise to a single mRNA transcript approximately 4.4 kb. levels increased 3.5 fold between day 7 pregnancy onset parturition on 22. contrast, COX-1 remained constant during same period. To investigate factors regulation expression, endometrial stromal epithelial cell lines, were used. stroma-derived line, CUS-V2, was demonstrated by reverse transcriptase/polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) immunocytochemistry. these cells, inducible cytokines interleukin-1 beta tumor necrosis factor alpha, but not interleukin-6. The two former also induced F2 alpha production. constitutive this line. epithelium-derived CUE-P both genes expressed fashion. conclusion, vivo vitro data indicate that decidual COX-2, COX-1, is regulated implicate specific as possible inducers within decidua.
