Oral cancers – Micronuclei as biomarker of genotoxicity a population-based study to establish usable dynamic cut off limits in tobacco users

摘要: Buccal mucosal samples are studied for micronuclei in tobacco users. This was with emphasis chewers. Earlier we established protocol collecting,staining, and analyzing (MN) buccal smears. Samples from over 650 patients were micronuclei. MN( ) used as a biomarker genotoxicity clearly evidenced by steady increase frequency of MN cases no habit, to potentially malignant lesions (PMD )to frank malignancy various stages.
