摘要: Large pieces of in-channel wood can exert an important role on the ecological and morphological properties gravel-bed rivers. On other side, when transported during flood events, large become a source risk for sensitive structures such as bridges. However, displacement velocity in river systems are still poorly understood, especially This study focuses log transport valley reach Tagliamento River (Italy). Log events different magnitudes recorded from June 2010 to October 2011 has been analysed thanks installation 113 radio frequency identification (RFID) tags 42 GPS tracker devices logs dimensions. Recovery rates equipped with RFID trackers were about 43% 42%, respectively. The allowed us analyse details overtime, indicating higher entrainment rising limb hydrographs. threshold low bars is around 40% bankfull water stage. No clear relationship was found between peak length velocity. appear significantly correlated ratio flow stage exceeding duration curve 25% time (i.e. hmax/h25 ratio). deposition observed occur at flow, ordinary preferably deposited bars. reveals potentials monitor movements rivers floods. These observations could be useful better planning management practices strategies involving use help calibrating budgets scale.
