摘要: The distribution of various isochore families on mitotic chromosomes domestic chicken and Japanese quail was studied by the method fluorescence in situ DNA–DNA hybridization (FISH). DNA shown to be distributed irregularly similarly quail. GC-rich (H2, H3, H4) hybridized mainly microchromosomes a majority macrochromosome telomeric regions. In chicken, an intense also structural heterochromatin region Z chromosome long arm. some regions arms, with H3 H4. On macrochromosomes both species, pattern isochores H2 resembled R-banding. light (L1 L2 families) are mostly detected within internal corresponding G bands, whereas lack isochores. Although mammalian avian karyotypes differ significantly organization, genomes these two lineages warm-blooded animals is similar principle. species studied, that chromosomes. main specific feature genome, great number (about 30% genome), determines compositional specialization latter. This suggests existence not only but functional compartmentalization genome.
