摘要: BACKGROUND Allergic contact dermatitis from nickel is very common in the United States. A barrier coating to be used on personal items such as snaps or watches would of great use preventing consequences allergy. OBJECTIVE To evaluate various coatings and their ability yield a negative dimethylglyoxime (DMG) test result. METHODS Four different were assessed prior soaking saline, after saline for 2 days, 7 days. RESULTS Depending number time soaked barriers showed efficacies yielding DMG CONCLUSIONS Nickel Guard Beauty Secrets Hardener most effective was more cost-effective choice.
