摘要: A method and system for controlling downshifting in an automated mechanical transmission (10) utilized on a vehicle. When automatic power downshift from currently engaged ratio (GR) is required, the engine acceleration (EA) monitored compared with free (EFA) to detect false Neutral condition take appropriate action accordingly. Alternatively, detected when Absolute Value of rotational speed output shaft (OS) times gear minus input (IS) less than predetermined value (ABS((OS*GR)-IS)).
