摘要: The nucleotide sequence of the melB gene coding for Na+(Li+)/melibiose symporter Salmonella typhimurium LT2 was determined, and its amino acid deduced. It consists 1428 bp, corresponding to a protein 476 residues (calculated molecular weight 52800). is homologous that melibiose permease Escherichia coli K12, with 85% identical residues. All, except one, have been reported be important cation or substrate recognition in E. are conserved S. typhimurium. In addition, part resembles lactose Streptococcus thermophilus, animal glucose transporter (GLUT1), plasmid-coded raffinose (RafB), NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 4 (Nuo4) Aspergillus amstelodami.
