Unknown primary melanoma

摘要: Of 230 melanoma patients treated during the past 8 years, 12 (5.2%) were found to have unknown primary lesions. Nine of these "unknown melanoma' presented with metastases in regional lymph nodes, one inside parotid gland, and two disseminated no detectable tumor. The confined a node underwent block dissection followed by adjuvant chemotherapy immunotherapy. Four metastasis only are disease free 4-6 years after diagnosis. One patient multiple groin is alive lymphadenectomy. other five died 16 months 3 surgery. Both succumbed their within month prognosis seems be worse than typical at same stage. This justifies aggressive surgical approach this unusual entity melanoma.
