Necrosis of the bone marrow and cancer

摘要: Bone marrow necrosis (BMN) is a rare complication and characterized by the presence of an eosinophilic amorphous material in bone marrow. The clinical, analytical histological characteristics 4 patients with BMN associated to neoplastic process are described. One them was gastric cancer but origin could not de determined other three cases. Three presented pain, all four thrombopenia, anemia, leuko-erythroblastic reaction elevated LDH found. A literature review carried out possible physiopathological mechanisms discussed.
