摘要: Background Evaluation of molecular pathology markers using a computer-aided quantitative assessment framework would help to assess the altered states cellular proliferation, hypoxia, and neoangiogenesis in oral submucous fibrosis could improve diagnostic interpretation gauging its malignant potentiality. Methods Immunohistochemical (IHC) expression c-Myc, hypoxia-inducible factor-1-alpha (HIF-1α), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), VEGFRII, CD105 were evaluated 58 biopsies quantification. After digital stain separation original chromogenic IHC images, quantification diaminobenzidine (DAB) reaction pattern was performed based on intensity extent cytoplasmic, nuclear, stromal expression. Results Assessment proposed that c-Myc HIF-1α may be used as strong screening markers, VEGF for risk-stratification VEGFRII prognosis precancer into cancer. Conclusion Our analysis indicated method can establishing an effective immunoassay alleviate ambiguities clinical decision process. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Head Neck,
