摘要: The increase in body size of humans and other vertebrates requires a physiological infrastructure to provide adequate delivery oxygen tissues cells maintain homeostasis. heart, lungs the vasculature are all part highly regulated system that ensures distribution precise amount needed throughout mammalian organism. Given its fundamental impact on physiology pathology, it is no surprise response lack oxygen, termed hypoxia, has been focus many research groups worldwide for decades now. transcriptional complex hypoxia-inducible factor emerged as key regulator molecular hypoxic response, mediating wide range cellular mechanisms necessary adapt reduced oxygen.
