摘要: Wave trajectories and cyclotron damping of the electromagnetic waves (O- X-modes) electron Bernstein wave (B-mode) propagating in three dimensional toroidal plasmas are investigated, assuming geometrical optics. Electron heating (ECH) by injection O- X-mode is effective low density (\(\omega_{\text{pe}}{ }\varOmega_{\text{e}}{\approx}\omega\)), where B-mode linearly converted from or O-mode (the latter being to X- then B-mode). Because strong damping, also useful for T e plasmas. Propagation characteristics mode-conversion these high studied detail.
