Q estimation from reflection seismic data for hydrocarbon detection using a modified frequency shift method

摘要: As a powerfully diagnostic tool for structural interpretation, reservoir characterization, and hydrocarbon detection, quality factor Q provides useful information in seismic processing interpretation. Popular methods, like the spectral ratio (SR) method, central frequency shift (CFS) method peak (PFS) have their respective limitations dealing with field data. The lack of reliable estimating from reflection data is an issue when utilizing value detection. In this article, we derive approximate equation and propose dominant (DCFS) by combining Q, travel time, frequencies two successive signals along wave propagating direction. Based on multi-layered analysis, then proposed to obtain continuous volumetric estimation results. A test using synthetic statistical experiments showed can achieve higher accuracy robustness compared existing methods. Application also shows its potential effectiveness estimate attenuation.
