摘要: Seventeen years after a Billroth II gastric resection for duodenal ulcer had been performed, two large polypoid tumors were found in the stump (outside stomal area) and of 69-year-old man. Histologically neoplasms tubular adenomas with small focal carcinomatous changes restricted to tumor. A distinctive feature both was occurrence three major cell populations segregated into different types neoplastic epithelium: one columnar mucous cells containing type mucins mixed number argyrophil endocrine other large, pleomorphic immunoreactive lysozyme intestinal mucins. In absence any evidence generalized gastrointestinal polyposes, it is suggested that originated from mucosa (of heterotopic origin duodenum) second epithelium may represent particular, up now unrecognized, metaplasia.
