摘要: Pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) is a significant global health problem and accounts for substantial portion of cardiovascular in the developing world. Although there have been considerable advances therapeutics pulmonary arterial hypertension, over 97% burden lies within world where limited access to care pharmaceuticals. The causes hypertension differ between industrialized nations. Infectious diseases-including schistosomiasis human immunodeficiency virus, rheumatic fever-are common PVD, as are hemoglobinopathies, untreated congenital heart disease. High altitude exposure household air pollutants also contribute PVD cases. diagnosis requires use imaging invasive hemodynamics, equipment may be limited. therapies prohibitively expensive select few. Prevention therefore important limiting burden.
