摘要: Abstract The Nusselt number distributions for five confined circular air jets vertically impinging on a flat surface were measured. arranged as an equilaterally staggered array (a middle jet and four neighboring jets). jet-to-jet spacing to diameter ratio (s/d) the height (H/d) in range of 2.0–8.0 0.5–3.0 respectively. Reynolds was 20,000. At small s/d H/d values (s/d = 2.0 H/d = 0.5), maximum Nu, attributed strong flow impact (jet interaction) impingement plate, clearly observed between every jet. interaction decreases with increase H/d. large H/d ⩾ 2.0), interference before causes decrease heat transfer. However, it achieves uniform distribution region directly covered by array. intermediate (s/d = 4.0 both are weak, but expelled (cross flow) reduces transfer jets. (s/d ⩾ 6.0), regardless value (in 0.5–3.0), possesses independent cooling area plate. result also shows that Nu variation under almost linearly increases s/d.
