摘要: Bile acids are produced in the liver and excreted into intestine, where their main function is to participate lipid digestion. Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) tauroursodeoxycholic (TUDCA) have shown antiapoptotic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant effects various models of neurodegenerative diseases. However, little known about signaling pathways molecular mechanisms through which these bile act as neuroprotectors, delaying translation clinical setting. We review evidence supporting a potentially therapeutic role for retinal disorders, involved cytoprotective from enterohepatic circulation central nervous system retina. As secondary generated by microbiota metabolism, might be link between diseases microbiota.
