摘要: High temperature resolution study of the specific heat and thermal conductivity over smecticA-nematic nematic-isotropic phase transitions in octylcynobephenyl liquid crystal using a new photopyroelectric calorimetry configuration are reported, where, unlike previously adopted ones, no calibration is required other than procedure used during actual measurement. This makes suitable for “absolute” measurements parameters like most existing conventional calorimetric techniques however, cannot be measured.
