摘要: Abstract To investigate the spatial variability of soil particle size distribution (PSD) in Loess Plateau (LP) region China, 2673 disturbed samples were collected 243 profiles (0–500 cm) across typical loess zone. The PSD determined using laser diffraction technique and regional patterns analyzed through classical statistical geo-statistical methods. results showed that silt loam was dominant texture (92.6%) at 0–500 cm layer. Sand, clay contents varied slightly with increasing depth, suggesting almost homogeneous profile. Soils overall sandy north clayey south, but variation uneven latitude. pattern LP depicted latitudinal zonality. Fractal analysis a strong relationship between fractal dimension (D) content (R2 = 0.98), demonstrating D controlled by rather than coarse particles scale. limited changes profile moderate will provide reference to scale hydrological, erosion ecological models China.
