摘要: Abstract We show that yaaD and yaaE are involved in vitamin B6 (B6) biosynthesis Bacillus subtilis. This is the first report which identifies genes B. Based on homology, belong to highly conserved SNZ SNO families, respectively. Disruptants of required pyridoxal (PL) or pyridoxine (PN), grew same way as wild type a minimal medium supplemented with 0.05 mM PL. The family considered be singlet-oxygen resistance. Singlet-oxygen quenchers, L (+)-ascorbic acid reduced glutathione, did not support growth these disruptants. Both were transcribed at highest level during middle- late-exponential phase much lower stationary phase. Neither PL nor PN affected transcriptional rates yaaE. It concluded subtilis,
