摘要: Kisspeptins are structurally closely related peptides derived from the Kiss1 gene that have been demonstrated to stimulate hypothalamo-pituitary gonadal axis. The natural peptide products post-translational processing of kisspeptin precursor not elucidated. We examined acute effect on serum levels free testosterone in adult male mouse after systemic administration kisspeptins with different lengths both human and origin. Mouse kisspeptin-10 -52 dose-dependently increased testosterone, showed similar potency efficacy. Human kisspeptin-54 evoked robust increase same as for kisspeptins. Other members RFRP family peptides, i.e. RFRP-1 -3 were inactive. Time-course experiments revealed longer forms had a slower onset action, long form also more prolonged effect. peripherally administered could be totally blocked by GnRH antagonist acyline. Finally, no Fos induction cells. These data show all tested active supports concept their is mediated target upstream pituitary, such median eminence.
