摘要: Objectives: To elaborate main system characteristics and relevant deployment experiences for the health information (HIS) Orbis®/ OpenMed, which is in widespread use Germany, Austria, Switzerland. Methods: In a phase of 3 years 1.200 bed university hospital, where underwent significant improvements, system’s functionality its software design have been analyzed detail. We focus on an integrated CASE tool generating embedded clinical applications incremental evolution. present participatory iterative engineering process developed efficient utilization such tool. Results: The comparable to other commercial products’ functionality; components are vendor-specific application framework, standard interfaces being used connecting subsystems. generator remarkable feature; it became key factor our project. Tool generated workflow enabled into overall data base schema. Rapid prototyping refinement supported, so modules can be adapted users’ work practice. Conclusions: consider tools supporting highly architects. potential continuously evolve effectively changing needs may more important than sophisticated but hard-coded HIS functionality. More will engineering. Methods needed quick robust adaptation systems care processes requirements.
