摘要: Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) and thymidylate synthase (TS) gene expressions in metastatic colorectal cancer have been reported to be predictive parameters for the efficacy of fluoropyrimidine-based chemotherapy. In this study, we investigated association between both DPD TS primary tumor antitumor effect patients with when treated a protocol. were measured by reverse transcription-PCR surgically resected materials tumors from 37 who went on receive oral treatment uracil tegafur leucovorin either synchronous or metachronous diseases. Relative mRNA amounts expressed as ratios targeted glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate products. Median values 0.30 0.65 responding nonresponding ones, respectively, statistical significance ( P < 0.0001). No had expression ≥ 0.5. A total 19 low <0.5, 63% them showed response. There was no high (TS 1.0). However, response rate 75% TS. The median survival time 16.3 months versus 8.4 expression. conclusion, combination might useful chemotherapy cancer.
