摘要: Abstract Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are energy/carbon storage materials accumulated under unfavorable growth condition in the presence of excess carbon source. PHAs attracting much attention as substitute for non-degradable petrochemically derived plastics because their similar material properties to conventional and complete biodegradability natural environment upon disposal. In this paper, PHA production degradation waste well its role biological phosphorus removal reviewed. process, bacteria accumulating polyphosphate (poly P) uptake substrates accumulate these by utilizing energy from breaking down poly P anaerobic condition. following aerobic condition, is utilized generation regeneration P. has been investigated order utilize abundant organic compounds water. Since content productivity that can be obtained rather low, product should considered a coupled process reducing amount waste. rapidly degraded completion municipal sludge various microorganisms. ©
