New method for vitrifying water and other liquids by rapid cooling of their aerosols

摘要: A method for the vitrification of pure liquid water and dilute aqueous solutions is described which only one without a cryomedium heat transfer: rapid cooling aerosol droplets on solid cryoplate. This not limited to solutions, but can be used any aerosol, impurity being some codeposited vapor. The applied in diverse fields such as cryobiology, cryomicroscopy, low‐temperature spectroscopy avoid formation crystalline ice.
