摘要: Abstract Ectopically expressed double-stranded RNAs (dsRNAs) have recently been shown to suppress parasitic success of Meloidogyne spp. in plants. We targeted two genes from the root-knot nematode incognita ; a dual oxidase gene implicated tyrosine cross-linking developing cuticle and subunit signal peptidase, protein complex required for processing secreted proteins. While these are involved different aspects development, phenotypic consequences RNA interference (RNAi) were similar with ⩾50% reduction numbers roots retardation development egg-producing saccate females. Expression processed dsRNA was observed, but no evidence detectable levels small interfering (siRNAs) found transgenic show, our knowledge first time, that combining expression dsRNAs by crossing appropriate Arabidopsis thaliana lines resulted an additive effect further reduced developmental capacity. Combining RNAi target has potential enhance efficacy may allow control species or genera crop interest.
