2R regenerator based on a 2-m-long highly nonlinear bismuth oxide fiber

摘要: We report the use of a 2m long Bismuth Oxide fiber with an ultra-high nonlinearity ~1100 W in simple 2R regeneration experiment based on self phase modulation and offset filtering. Numerical simulations experimental results confirm suitability this kind for regeneration. An improvement receiver sensitivity more than 5 dB at 10 Gb/s 2 40 is achieved.
