摘要: This chapter empirically tests the study’s four hypotheses and presents results of calibrated empirical discretion model for Chinese firms multinationals in China. Using a representative sample 467 China, this creates transparency on various theoretically-derived relationships between managerial discretion, firm size, type, industry technology intensity, performance. In particular, it reveals how plant managers respond to different degrees under differing circumstances, decomposing total impact into direct effects, mediating moderating control effects. Rigorously tested, put forth study pave way deriving far-reaching implications importance granularity applicability existing theories performance, thus taking significant step towards resolving puzzle.
