摘要: In the present study, we examined hypothesis that perceptual load is primary factor determines efficiency of attentional selection. Participants performed a visual search task under conditions high- and low-load. line with hypothesis, presenting highand low-load in separate blocks trials resulted processing to-be-ignored stimuli only lowload condition (Experiment 1). However when were randomly mixed trials, participants showed both conditions, suggesting high not necessarily sufficient to obtain selectivity 2). An analysis intertrial transition effects on high-load occurred previous trial was trial. The results suggest low can engender broad processing. On other hand, preceded by another trial, little task-irrelevant observed. are discussed terms interaction between expectancies bottom-up factors
