The Practical Work of Ensuring Effective Use of Serious Games in a Rehabilitation Clinic: A Qualitative Study.

摘要: Background: Many rehabilitation clinics adopted serious games to support their physiotherapy sessions. Serious can monitor and provide feedback on exercises are expected improve therapy help professionals deal with more patients. However, there is little understanding of the impacts actual work physiotherapists. Objective: This study aimed understand impact an electromyography-based game practical physiotherapists. Methods: used observation sessions in outpatient clinic that recently started using a based electromyography sensors. In total, 44 were performed, involving 3 physiotherapists 22 Observation documented by audio recordings or fieldnotes analyzed for themes thematic analysis. Results: The findings this showed played important role enabling work. Physiotherapists briefed patients, calibrated system, prescribed exercises, supported patients while they game, all which amounted relevant labor.
