Stress among nurses: an examination of salivary cortisol levels on work and day off

摘要: The present study evaluates the use of salivary cortisol concentration as a physiological index stress level among nurses on their work day and off correlates it with questionnaire used to measure occupational in (Inventario de Estresse em Enfermeiros - IEE). This is comparative, cross-sectional descriptive which sociodemographic data, IEE results levels were used. Fifty-seven participated (80.7% females mean age 37.1 years old). average score was 124.5. 564.1 ng/m 354.1 ng/mL off. Nurses who had double workdays presented high values during (638.1 ng/mL). In conclusion, identified nurses’ level, differences found between On off, scores lower.
