摘要: Using post-processing filters to enhance image detail, a process commonly referred as boost, can significantly affect the performance of an EO/IR system. The US Army's target acquisition models currently use the Targeting Task Performance (TTP) metric quantify sensor performance. TTP accounts for each element in system including: blur and noise introduced by imager, any additional steps, effects Human Visual System (HVS). current implementation assumes spatial separability, which introduce significant errors when is applied systems using non-separable filters. To accurately apply to systems incorporating we have implement two-dimensional (2D) version metric. accuracy the 2D was verified through series perception experiments involving various levels boost. 2D TTP metric has been incorporated into Night Vision Integrated Performance Model (NV-IPM) allowing accurate system modeling
