摘要: Superresolution processing is currently being used to improve the performance of infrared imagers through an increase in sampling, removal aliasing, and reduction fixed-pattern noise. The improvement superresolution has not been previously tested on military targets. This paper presents results human perception experiments determine field NVESD standard eight (8)-target set using a prototype LWIR camera. These test compare both still images movie clips, each generated with without processing. Lockheed Martin's XR® algorithm as specific example modern combined image algorithm. Basic no additional help benefit separate processes. modeled NVThermIP for comparison test. measured range 70% probability identification increased by approximately 34% while 50% 19% this A case more undersampled commercial MWIR sensor that predicts 45% from superresolution.
