摘要: Background Ultrasonography can improve disease severity assessment in hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) patients. The use of pre-operative ultrasonography could surgical outcomes HS Objectives (i) To assess changes the projected skin-excised area after ultrasonography, (ii) to explore clinical factors potentially associated with inaccurate delimitation and (iii) compare recurrence rates ultrasound vs margin at week 24. Methods Cohort study. Patient candidates for treatment by wide excision healing secondary intention a equal or larger than 15 cm2 were included. main variables interest recurrence. Results Pre-operative increased mean excised 3.67 (SD 0.86) , P = 0.004. Bland-Altman plot showed that 65% procedures area. Higher IHS4 scores, BMI, male sex Hurley stage II III all difference between delimitation. At 24, rate cohort was 30% compared 10% (P 0.10). Conclusions improves lower 24 weeks Potential risk are obesity, sex, elevated so special attention should be given these patients when is not available based only on examination.
