摘要: External bilateral symmetry is a biological marker of normal development and considered signal health attractiveness across species. Because most human interactions are dynamic, it was hypothesized that observers would be able to perceive spatiotemporal symmetry—symmetry in motion—in point-light walkers. It also rate symmetrical walkers as healthy attractive. Symmetrical asymmetrical figures were presented adult participants (n = 22) motion static images with implied. Static readily perceived, judged significantly healthier more attractive than figures. However, unable discriminate dynamic presentations. These data provide preliminary evidence temporal summation window for perception.
