摘要: Small deviations from bilateral symmetry (a phenomenon called fluctuating asymmetry [FA]) are believed to arise due an organism's inability implement a developmental program when challenged by stress. FA thus provides index of exposure adverse environmental effects and its ability resist these effects. If one wishes choose individual with good health fertility, could be used as potential partner's suitability. To explore whether this theory can applied human female bodies (excluding heads), we specially developed software package create images perfect symmetry. We then compared the relative attractiveness normal (asymmetric image) symmetric image. When male observers rated for on scale 1 10, there was no significant difference in between asymmetric images. However, two-alternative forced-choice experiment, image significantly more popular. The evidence suggests role perception body.
