摘要: Abstract As part of a large-scale international cooperative investigation into the side effects thioacetazone-containing regimens in treatment tuberculosis, an evaluation has been made variation frequency between different countries and centres same country likely reasons for this variation. In 3 patients racial origin were under observation hospital. Over 12-week period there was considerable overall those leading to major departure from prescribed treatment, being similar two streptomycin plus isoniazid control regimen, though at lower level latter. Malaysia, Singapore, Trinidad, where groups no clear indication that race important factor explaining differences countries, except cutaneous Trinidad possibly Malaysia. It is concluded probably result closeness supervision patients, recording interpretation effects, environmental factors including previous use other medicaments or exposure sensitizing substances.
