摘要: Telemedicine is modifying classical health care by providing effective solutions to an increasing number of new situations. This article summarizes the potential benefits made available this technology in diabetes care, and describes detail how DIABTel Service complements daily diabetic patients. The basic functions telemedicine system include telemonitoring patient's blood glucose data self-management actions, remote from doctors system's architecture comprises two main components: Medical Workstation, a PC-based be used physicians nurses Diabetes Day Centre units hospitals, Patient Unit, palmtop-computer patients their day activities. Both components, integrated approach, offer tools for collection management, viewing interpretation modules, data/message exchange services interactive glucose/insulin simulator educational purposes. procedure aims: (1) improve communication patient with hospital-based diabetologist, between visits clinic; (2) allow assess condition on frequent basis (every week); (3) help management diabetes, (4) provide service 'supervised autonomy', increase independence without decreasing necessary continual support supervision doctor. Finally, we discuss practical problems, limitations vital issues regarding implementation service.
