摘要: Microcrystals of a hydrophobic cargo were stabilized by EAK16 II, self-assembling oligopeptide, and suspended in aqueous solution. Pyrene was used as model compound. Egg phosphatidylcholine (EPC) vesicles prepared to mimic cell membrane. released from its II coating into EPC vesicles. The excimer decay profiles acquired. They showed that pyrene is present the crystalline form when it molecularly dispersed vesicles, completely membrane bilayers. release microcrystals coated with followed fluorescence function time. amount at given time quantified using calibration curve. concentration determined time, concentration-versus-time profile fitted one exponential. rate found depend on peptide-to-pyrene molecular ratio. Higher ratios lead slower transfer lipophilic environment. Scanning electron micrographs demonstrated thicker crystals results release. data presented this work demonstrate can stabilize solution deliver environment, be adjusted tuning
