摘要: The aim of this study was to describe the dietary patterns pregnant women in northern Puerto Rico and explore associations between diet factors with pregnancy related measurements. This analysis is based on Testsite for Exploring Contamination Threats (PROTECT), a prospective cohort that studying environmental risk preterm births PR. Participants completed food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) around 20-28 weeks gestation. following measures were collected from medical records: hemoglobin, blood glucose, pressure gestational age. Potential assessed using chi square SPSS. A total 180 participants FFQ; low hemoglobin levels found 19.2%, high glucose 21.1% by fasting test 24.6%by 1-hour 50 g oral screening test, 2.9% (systolic) 6.5% (diastolic), pre-term birth 10.4% participants. High consumption rice, desserts sweets associated higher (p < 0.05), while vegetables challenge 0.05).No other significant found. In conclusion, dense energy diets pregnancy, such as desserts, can lead be potential predictor complications during these participants, diabetes.
