摘要: Received 12 May 2008; published September 2008We demonstrate experimental evidence of noise-induced attractor hopping in a multistable fiber laser. Mul-tistate dynamics displays complex statistical properties characterized by nontrivial scalings. Whenhopping is encountered between two states, the system −3/2 power lawfor probability distribution periodic windows versus their length, just as case two-state on-offintermittency. A surprising noise saturation effect found: average output regime isalmost independent input noise. Such robustness against external may be beneficial forsome applications: for example, communications with systems or designing noise-insensitive detectors.DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevE.78.035202 PACS number s : 05.45. a, 42.55.Wd, 42.60.Mi, 42.65.Sf
