Organization of choroid plexus epithelial and endothelial cell tight junctions and regulation of claudin-1, -2 and -5 expression by protein kinase C.

摘要: Claudins are components of the tight junctional complex in epithelial and endothelial cells. We characterized composition junctions choroid plexus lateral ventricle rat brain tested whether protein kinase C induced changes their composition. Claudin-1, -2 -5 were present cells at near junctions, respectively. In cells, claudin-5 was stronger expressed than claudin-1 -2. Twenty-four hours after phorbolester injection into ventricle, immunoreactivity increased spread to cytoplasm. The claudin-2 immunoreactivities reduced. These findings consistent with an influence on plexus.
